Top 5 Free Android Apps to Download

Did you just get a new Android phone? Maybe a new HTC Incredible or Droid Evo? You’ve gotten the screens looking good, the font options just the way you want them…but now you need a few Android apps to make it even better? And free apps are always better than ones you have to pay for, right?

I’ve compiled a list here of my Top 5 Android Apps (from the free apps category) that you’ll NEED to apkzoom download onto your phone before you do anything else. Without further ado…

1. Bar Code Scanner – This app has a deceptively simple name, huh? It’s soooo powerful, though. You start the app and point at it ANY type of bar code, whether it’s the bar code on the back of your Mountain Dew 20oz or one of those funny looking new QR Codes that are starting to pop up everywhere, and the free app does the rest! I just scanned a bottle of CVS water and the app connected me to the UPC Database and accurately found the number for me.

2. An E-Reader App – Which one (or which ones!) you download is a matter of personal taste. For me, I like to get the best deal, so I downloaded all of the majors one: Barnes & Noble’s Nook, Amazon’s Kindle, and the Google Books app. This way I can read any format, get the max number of free ebooks, and even shop for the best price before I buy any.

3. V-Cast Song ID or Shazam – If you’re a Verizon customer, your phone may come pre-installed with the V-Cast Song ID app. I’ve been using it for years on non-Android phones and it has never failed me. If you’re not on Big Red, though, look for Shazam and you should get functionality equal to, if not better, than V-Cast Song ID. With either app, all that you have to do is to switch the app on, hold it close to a speaker, and wait for 10-20 seconds while it IDs the song and even links you to a download source or stores the title for later so you can get it from Amazon or iTunes.

4. Advanced Task Killer – If you don’t get this app, you’ll be recharging your phone 3-4 times per day. Period. It active kills any processes (like your camera or maps apps) that you’ve accidentally left running in the background so that you can maximize your battery life. Before I downloaded this app, I was literally recharging my Droid Incredible the aforementioned 3-4 times per day. Now I might recharge it once after lunch if I had been listening to music all morning.

5. Angry Birds / Angry Birds Seasons – What list of Android Apps would be complete without mentioning Rovio’s Angry Birds? According to an article that Newsweek published on January 30, 2011, Rovio is taking aim at Nintendo’s Mario’s iconic status with their ticked off avians. This game is really more of a crack-like addiction than anything I’ve ever experienced, and I recommend it to EVERYONE who own a smart phone, whether it’s Android- or Apple-based.

7 Sales Funnel Internet Marketing

Many internet marketing trends have been applied to the sales process, known as sales funnel after/before a prospect clicks on the ‘Add To Cart’ or ‘Buy Now’ button. The key is to maximize profits or benefits from a prospect, which is not limited to just sales, but also leads as well.

1) One Time Offers (OTO)
Upon clicking ‘Add To Cart’ and processing the payment, the customer is lead to a new page called the OTO page (one time offer page). Since they are already in the buying mood, chances of them clicking yes are significantly higher. Tell them that this offer only happens once and will disappear forever once they leave this page. This is also known as a time sensitive offer.

2) Upsell
Once the customer has bought something of interest, its time to sell them something related which, clickfunnels pricing discount if purchased, will greatly improve the benefits of their earlier purchase. An upsell is usually a product that is more expensive than the initial product. Example if the initial product is sold at $47, the upsell can be sold at $67. This is really effective, because if they were willing to part with their money means they are likely to spend more to reap the full benefits of the product.

3) Downsell
Similar to upsell, just that the downsell product is priced lower than the upsell. E.g $27. It is best to put a downsell after an upsell because the main reason people do not buy an upsell is because of financial constraints. Ease their burden and give them part of a full product (e.g 4 chapters of an e-course) for a lower price.

4) Opt In Boxes
If you have a sales page for a product on a certain niche, it is wise to put an opt in box in the sales page as well, offering some free benefit related to the niche which you have targeted. Even if the customer does not buy anything, you still still have a loyal prospect which you can build rapport and sell to at another day. Leads are as important as one off sales as you can continue to provide value and promote to at a later date.

5) Exit Popup Scripts
Instead of putting an opt in box in your sales page, use an exit pop up script to turn the customer who just bounced into a lead by offering a free product or something that will entice him to sign up. This is an effective internet marketing trend because once the customer leaves he is most probably gone forever unless you can get him into your list.

6) Entry Popup Scripts
Some internet marketers prefer to use the entry pop up to generate leads as the visitor enters the sales page. Which converts better can only be determined by split testing. Try it out on your own campaign to see which works better.

7) The Ultimate Sales Funnel
Combine all of the internet marketing trends above! Grab them with an entry pop up, then if they buy, give them an upsell, downsell, one time offer and an exit pop up as they leave!

Choosing A Fitting HVAC Company in Your Area

Finding an HVAC company with which you can work is essential. Your home is a significant investment, and it should be a place of comfort to you. However, if your heating and cooling system is not working efficiently, that comfort can be compromised, especially in the heat of summer, or the extreme cold of winter. Therefore, it is the purpose of this post to provide the reader with tips on how to wisely choose an HVAC company.

Make a List

Create a list from the phone book or a website. Call each one individually; you should also have a list of questions for the potential contractor prepared prior to making your calls. If the company does not offer you straight answers, it is time to look elsewhere.

Check for Credibility

The key questions to ask your prospective HVAC contractor involve licensing, insurance, longevity, and physical address. First, pose questions about the company’s licensing. Ask to see a copy of it, and as you are reading the document, ask yourself if the license is current. HVAC service standards are constantly evolving, and you want a contractor who is trained and licensed according to the latest HVAC standards.

In addition to licensing, you should perform a thorough background check on the company. According to AirConditioningandHeating.com, you should examine whether there are disciplinary actions or complaints pending against the contractor. You can check these facts with the Better Business Bureau by entering the name of the company into the appropriate fields. Also, you can check with the local or state licensing boards.

Another way to check the company’s credibility is to ask for references. Once you have received this list of names of prior customers, follow up. Prior customers will be more than happy to share with you their experiences with a contractor, especially if such encounters have been less than positive. If the general consensus among these prior clients is negative, take your business elsewhere.

Find out how long the company has been in business. Research the contractor on the Internet. The longer the contractor has been in existence, the more likely it is that it has the experience level you as a homeowner (or business owner) are seeking.

Check for Stability

Also, research how long that this HVAC company has been in one place–the same city, state and address. If it has moved around very much, that may be a sign of instability. If you cannot trust the organization to stay in one place, you probably would be unable to trust that, if you were to give the contractor any money, that the company would still be there next week to do the work that you have requested of it.

Communication

Being able to communicate with your HVAC contractor is paramount. Make sure the company has a physical address (rather than a post office box). See that the organization you choose has a solid telephone number, a website, and an email, as well as an emergency number. Heating and cooling systems break office fit out company down on nights, Sundays and holidays, so it is important that you have someone who can always respond to your concerns.

Personal Comfort/Rapport

As the Air Conditioning and Heating website indicates, the ideal scenario between you and your contractor is that this is a working relationship that will last for years. In light of that, you should seek a company whose employees you would feel comfortable letting into your home. To test this, plan an unannounced trip to the contractor’s place of business. Speak with the employees. If they seem too distant, or busy, to talk to you, then move on.
